CDs of Sohma Hiroko

Sohma Hiroko is a female singer of Japan born 1970 at Nagoya. She has published 12 albums. Among them, "Eve" and "Adam" are self-cover specials arranged acoustically and I recommend for you. Though they were published 2007 and 2006, uploaded to YouTube just recently.

She was deeply affected by the music of Mary Black and she visited Ireland in her young days and met her. Based on it, she constructed her original music.

An old photograph, put between the sheets of the address note, slipped off to the sand of the beech, that reminds me of my old boy friend and young days. Soon it gave me a shock while everything around me is not changed and calm. I pick up the photograph and sand off. I wait for a bus at the seaside bus stop in the evening calm, while I do not know when it comes.

The song starts by vocal and guitar, but soon an oboe joins impressively. I love this arrangement very much.

この曲を聴くと、学生の頃三浦半島の油壷に行くために引橋のバス停でぼーっと何時間もバスを待っていたことを思い出します。マリンパークが消滅して、油壷は寂しい場所になっているのでしょうね。
