五輪真弓ももう５０周年を過ぎて、若い方々の中には知らない人も増えてきたと思います。ウィキペディアによると、女性としてはソニー在籍最長を誇るそうです。キャロル・キングに憧れて歌手になったそうですが、なんとデモテープをキャロル・キングに送ったら高評価で、キング自身が米国でのデビューアルバム制作に参加するという夢のようなデビューをした方です。

デビュー当時はかなり独特なテイストの音楽をやっていましたが、しだいに歌謡曲的作風に傾斜していって、「恋人よ」は大ヒットしました。私のお気に入りは１２番目のアルバム「窓～せめて愛を～」で、当時（１９８３年）ちょうどＣＤの勃興期で、パリで録音されたこのアルバムはレフェレンス的な音質の良さで、ＣＤの良さをみんなに知らしめた１枚だったという記憶があります。

全体的にノスタルジーやゆったり感があって、こういう風な気分で生きられた時代でもあったんだなとと感慨にふけりました。「海と風と砂と」という曲は YouTube では長い間見かけませんでしたが、最近その存在に気がつきました。
